Mrs. Nisaba Godrej – Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL)

Born to the Godrej group’s Adi Godrej, Nisaba Godrej always believed in being the force of good, the quality that she found in her father. She doesn’t look at the business as only for profits, but for people and planet.

After finishing her bachelor's degree (BSc) from The Wharton School , University of Pennsylvania and an doing an MBA from Harvard Business School, she joined the family business.

She has been a key architect of GCPL's strategy and transformation in the last 15 years and has succeeded her father, Adi Godrej, as executive chairman of the 121-year-old Godrej Group's consumer-goods flagship in May 2017, after spearheading a decade of transformation in various roles at the group.

Under her guidance, the market capitalization of GCPL has climbed over 20 times in the last 15 years. She is also the Chairperson of Teach for India and sits on the board of Godrej Agrovet, Bharti Airtel, Mahindra and Mahindra and VIP Industries.

Nisaba is passionate about education, the human mind, trekking and equestrian sports.
